Updates

Well, sorry again. Standard start to my posts really. Time seems to fly. I realised the other day I hadnt taken a photo in ages, now I have so many I dont know where to start!
Ill post up some of the latest ones of the xmas break. We spent christmas at Rosemary and Richard's, aka Grandma and Grandad's. Then had a New Years BBQ (inside as it bucketed down) at our place.... I managed to stay up till 3am!!!!!!!
We then hopped down to Wanaka and Queenstown/Kingston for a week to check out the new bit of land (20acres!!!) that Nick, his 2 brothers and Mac (Nicks Dad) have purchased as a trust. So it belongs to everyone really.
Its amazing! COVERED in rabbits, of which we ate 18 while there- yum.... Locky learnt that Peter rabbit does end up in pie, and is bad for the land, and needs to be killed. He learnt how the dogs chase them, and kill them (quickly), and its a good thing. (sorry but theyre a pest here, and its free protein).
We are all goingdown again over easter so the boys can errect a 'rabbit proof fence'.
ANYWAYS- we also went down to ride on the Kingston Flyer. An old steam train thats been restored, and running. Locky loves trains.... so we thought he'd love this one. He did, but found the noise a bit much at first. we were better nearer the back of the train, a bit of distance from the whistle.
After the train we had a paddle on the lake... Lockys first time in a boat (like this one). Total success.
We stayed with some friends who had a farmlet (Rochana and Morgan..... Rochana carved the beautiful pounamu locky wears round his neck) They have a new blog: http://blog.lunafarm.co.nz/
They have goats, chooks, ducks, and dogs..... and a cat. Locky loved it! 'Noisy mummy chicken is crying" "No Locky its Daddy chicken shouting". We fed the chooks, watched the goats, threw a frisbie for the dogs... Lockys confidence grew sooo much that week.

Ill post some pics over the next few days too.
Thats all for now.
xxxxxxx
